Movement & Organization to Ensure Local Food Security
The new collaborative Southcentral PA/MD
Farm-to-Consumer Alliance intends to help local people find and purchase food
directly from farms.
To ensure food security in our area, the group has created
a map, database and Facebook group to connect people to local farms that sell
direct to the customer.
Sponsors include Felton Homestead,
Smith's Hidden Acres Farm and Sonnewald Natural Foods. Felton Homestead is the
first private biomed-friendly intentional farm residences for adults with
autism spectrum disorders.
