Testing by
the Institute for Applied Positive Research found
that the growing technology of Positive Prime has the potential to
quickly and effectively prepare an individual to create a positive mindset that
results in potential improvements to health, educational and business outcomes,
mood, energy and stress response.
The tests measured the impact of a
single Positive Prime session upon an end user’s mood, both immediately and
hours later. Sessions displaying different
positive images every one-and-a-half seconds for three minutes resulted in a higher
positive mood immediately and had a statistically significant improvement of
mood six to eight hours after the initial exposure. Subjects were 11 percent more
likely to report a positive day compared to a group that watched sessions that
contained negative or neutral images at the same speed.
When testing explicit (consciously
aware) and implicit (similar to unconscious) memory, researchers found that
between 27 and 48 percent of the content was consciously remembered and retained
an hour later, and that the session positively impacted the unconscious
thinking patterns of the user. For example, an
hour later, users were asked to complete the spelling of the root PRO___.
Positive Prime users were significantly more likely to fill in the blank with a
positive word like “protect” (positive) instead of “problem” (negative) or
“program” (neutral). This links into a body of research demonstrating that when
the mind is positive, a host of positive impacts may ensue.
