New Children’s Program at the Horn Farm Center

Students will discover animal behavior and ecology through the lens of the animal, learning about the squirrel, beaver and mastodon by studying their habitat, life cycles and behaviors. Together, they will explore how these animals move in the landscape via fun, engaging activities. Students will then become the animal by mimicking their behavior on the land and learning how animals play important roles in our ecosystems.
Born out of the successful effort to save the farm from industrial development in 2000 and established as a nonprofit corporation in 2004, the Horn Farm Center fosters learning through ecological land stewardship, experiential education and community partnership.
Cost for the three-day series is $75. Register (required) at HornFarmCenter.org/youth. Location: 4945 Horn Rd., York. For more information, call 717-757-6441 or email Education@HornFarmCenter.org.
